Quickstart
Get to your first crawl, run, and issue review.
Canary helps you continuously test your product like a user would, then organize the results into actionable issues.
1) Create or join an organization
- Sign in and pick your organization from the switcher in the left sidebar.
- If you don’t have one yet, create an organization.
2) Add a property (the app/site you want to test)
- Go to
Properties - Create a property for the domain/app you want Canary to crawl and test
3) Configure credentials (if your app requires login)
- Add credentials for the property.
- Use
Test login/ the login preview tools to confirm Canary can authenticate successfully.
4) Crawl and review discovered pages
- Start a crawl for your property.
- Review the pages Canary discovers and how they’re categorized.
5) Run QA and triage issues
- Start a run (automated QA).
- Review issues by severity and category, and link them to requirements when relevant.
Next steps
- Read Concepts to understand properties, pages, runs, and issues.
- Run your first QA audit to discover issues and identify “must-not-regress” paths.
- Build your first smoke suite to turn those paths into a repeatable release gate.
